Pyongyang, October 29 (KCNA) -- Agricultural workers of the Junghung Farm in Samjiyon City of Ryanggang Province of the DPRK harvested high yield of potatoes on the Tableland of Junghung near Mt Paektu.

True to the Workers' Party of Korea's scientific farming-first policy, they harvested 74 tons per hectare to the maximum and over-fulfilled the state grain production plan by 131.8 percent.

Ri Thae Il, chief secretary of the Ryanggang Provincial Committee of the WPK, Kim Yong Nam, chairman of the Provincial Rural Economy Committee, and officials of the Samjiyon City congratulated and encouraged the farmers who participated in the meeting for year-end account settlement and income distribution with the pride of over-fulfilling the potato production plan.

The delight of the agricultural workers who reaped a good harvest of potatoes was filled at the meeting amid the cheerful peasant dance. -0-
