Pyongyang, August 18 (KCNA) -- North Hwanghae Province in the DPRK is strengthening the foundation for producing building materials.

The province directs its efforts on putting the building materials on a diversified and multicolored basis while expanding the capacity of production bases and readjusting and reinforcing equipment.

It pays attention to introducing advanced technology and developing new products by generalizing the successes and experience of the advanced units through an exhibition and demonstration lecture.

Focusing on increasing the cement production both in quality and quantity, the province is speeding up at a final stage the projects for expanding the capacity of the Kyongam and Unpha cement factories.

Similar successes are being made at the Pongsan County Building Materials Factory, the Sinphyong County Cement Factory, the Kyongam Building Materials Factory, the Kyongam Tile Factory and in Sungho County. -0-
