Pyongyang, January 14 (KCNA) -- More than one million tons of self-sufficing manure has been secured so far since the outset of the new year, thanks to the efforts of all the agricultural officials and workers in the DPRK.

Jangyon, Samchon and Unryul counties in South Hwanghae Province are intensifying the technical guidance at the manure production processes. And they have made achievements in the production of fermented manure. Agricultural workers in the counties of Unchon and Sinchon are securing the raw materials needed for the production of self-sufficing manure and ensuring nutritive ingredients, including huminite.

Kumya, Kowon and Hongwon counties in South Hamgyong Province are taking measures to improve soil fertility on the basis of data collected through the analysis of all fields, and conducting a mass campaign to secure humus soil and peat. Riwon, Hamju and Jongphyong counties, too, are speeding up the production and transport of manure while finding all sources of manure and meeting the technical requirements in mixing substrate and ensuring proper temperature.

Agricultural workers in North Phyongan and North Hwanghae provinces have put spurs to the production of self-sufficing manure since the beginning of the year.

The farms in Sinuiju City and Sonchon and Kwaksan counties are increasing their daily results by organizing the socialist emulations among units and individuals and generalizing the successes of advanced units.

Agricultural workers in Hwangju, Rinsan and Koksan counties have produced a lot of manure.

Officials and agricultural workers in North Hamgyong Province, Kangwon Province and Pyongyang Municipality are striving to produce much more self-sufficing manure of various kinds. -0-
