Pyongyang, August 18 (KCNA) -- A short course for officials in charge of equipment assembly who are to be dispatched to the construction sites of new regional-industry factories started in Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK, on July 24.

Participating in the short course are officials of the Ministry of Regional Industry, researchers of the Food and Consumer Goods Research Institute and the Academy of Light Industry under the Ministry of Light Industry and technical officials of equipment assembly stations in all provinces.

The officials in charge of equipment assembly are making their practical studies according to "guide for assembling process equipment of regional-industry factories", "principle chart of main production processes of city and county regional-industry factories", technical assignments and process designs.

The short course deals with the principles of production lines, the characteristics of equipment, and the issues arising in assembling and installing equipment.

The participants in the short course are improving their practical abilities through discussions, while understanding many technical issues.

Officials from the equipment assembly stations in all provinces exchanged experience and technologies gained in assembling equipment last year.

Meanwhile, officials of the Ministry of Regional Industry and researchers of the Food and Consumer Goods Research Institute and the Academy of Light Industry are intensifying their studies in combination with practice, while exchanging experience and technologies with each other.

The participants in the short course went to the regional-industry factories in Sukchon County to consolidate what they learned at the short course. -0-
