Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- On the occasion of the great V-Day (July 27), the Korean people and service personnel of the People's Army pay high tribute to the victorious wartime generation, the masters of the legendary heroic era.

Though more than 70 years have passed since the war ceased, but the feats performed by the victorious wartime generation are still shining thanks to the benevolent care of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who regards the noble spirit of defending the country and the revolution displayed by them as the most precious political legacy and highly puts forward them.

One day in July 2012, ahead of the 59th anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War, Kim Jong Un told officials to significantly and splendidly celebrate July 27, which shines with the war victory exploits of President Kim Il Sung, as the holiday of victors, and gave instructions on taking care of the delegates of war veterans to be taken part in the celebrations with the greatest sincerity.

Kim Jong Un stressed the need to make it a tradition to invite the war veterans to Pyongyang every year and celebrate the great V-Day with splendor as a significant holiday of victors.

The noble image of Kim Jong Un making sure that the V-Day is significantly celebrated every year and paying tribute to the victors of the great years at the events commemorating the victory in the war is deeply kept in the hearts of the people across the country.

Under his energetic leadership, the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum was built as the grand palace of victory conveying to the whole world the heroic feats of the victorious wartime generation and the noble spirit of defending the country, and the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery, where the Workers' Party of Korea became a grave owner, was built in the best place in Pyongyang.
