Pyongyang, January 29 (KCNA) -- The Jagang Provincial Forestry Management Bureau in the DPRK is making innovations in the winter timber production.
Thanks to the devoted efforts of workers at forestry stations and mine timber production stations under the bureau, thousands of more cubic meters of timber were produced than the same period last year.
The Hwaphyong Forestry Station selected forests properly and ensured proper process-by-process engagement to carry out its yearly plans for the cutting of trees and middle transportation at over 50 percent in a little more than 15 days and made successes in the last transportation of timber.
The Rangnim Forestry Station has over-fulfilled its daily plan by raising the actual operation rate of vehicles while conducting the socialist emulation in a methodological way.
The Kanggye Mine Timber Production Station and the Songgan Forestry Station has increased production by introducing rational and efficient working methods in conformity with the mountainous conditions.
