Pyongyang, June 14 (KCNA) -- The Pyongyang Pharmaceutical Factory marked its 80th founding anniversary.

On June 14, 1946, President Kim Il Sung took a benevolent measure to set up a national pharmaceutical industry base and clearly indicated the way to be followed by the factory while settling all problems arising in its production, management and operation.

Whenever an important task for producing medicines was faced, Chairman Kim Jong Il allotted it to the officials and workers of the factory and expressed thanks to them when they made achievements.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un unrolled a grand plan to turn the factory into a model and standard in the pharmaceutical industry of the country, solved all problems arising in its remodeling and updating and energetically guided it to put production on a normal track.

Over the past years, the employees of the factory have faithfully supported the public health policy of the Workers' Party of Korea with achievements in production.

A meeting took place on the spot on June 13 to mark the anniversary.
