Pyongyang, February 20 (KCNA) -- The repair and maintenance of farm machines are being accelerated at the final stage in different parts of the DPRK, true to the resolutions of the 9th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Officials of the Agricultural Commission and agricultural guidance organs at all levels learned about the operation of all farm machines and, on this basis, have carried on guidance to raise the proportion of the farm work done by machines.

Kangnam County and Mangyongdae and Rangnang districts of Pyongyang Municipality produced enough spare parts necessary for repairing tractors.

By introducing rational working methods and launching a campaign for increased production, the Haeju Tractor Spare Parts Factory in South Hwanghae Province fulfilled its January production plan and has continued to make uninterrupted innovation in the same spirit.

Farm machine stations in Yonan, Paechon and Ongjin counties, too, have pushed ahead with the overhaul of tractors at the final stage while securing accessories for farm machines including rice-transplanting machines.

Officials and working people in North Hwanghae, South Hamgyong and Jagang provinces and some other regions are speeding up the repair of tractors and the maintenance of various kinds of farm machines. -0-
