Pyongyang, August 25 (KCNA) -- Green manure production is being stepped up in rural areas of the DPRK to ensure the increased grain production for next year.

North Hwanghae Province has over-fulfilled its plan for grass-cutting and green manure production.

Agricultural workers in Samjiyon City, Paekam and Samsu counties of Ryanggang Province have built depositories near the workplaces to make an effective use of natural and topographical condition.

Those in South Hwanghae Province have produced quality green manure by mixing the cut grass with slaked lime and liquid manure.

Similar successes are witnessed in South Phyongan Province and Nampho Municipality. -0-
