Electricity Production Goes Up in DPRK

Pyongyang, February 15 (KCNA) -- Much more electricity is now being produced on a daily average as compared with the same period last year, thanks to the efforts of officials and workers at the East Pyongyang Thermal Power Plant to attain the power production goal for this year set forth at the plenary meeting of the Workers' Party of Korea Central Committee.

The heat production workshop of the plant has increased the steam production by raising the combustion efficiency while ensuring the normal operation of exhausters and blowers and carrying on the boiler operation as required by technical regulations and standard rules.

Such successes are witnessed at the turbine and other workshops. -0-
