Production of Custom-Built Equipment Accelerated in DPRK

Pyongyang, January 8 (KCNA) -- The Taean Heavy Machine Complex in the DPRK has directed efforts to optimizing its production and management activities with stress put on management of equipment and technical control, thus ensuring proper process-by-process engagement of all production lines for custom-built equipment including sheet metal processing, processing and assembling.

The boiler sheet metal processing shop and the forging shop are making preparations for preliminary repair of equipment and melting to increase production.

The sheet metal processing shops for generating equipment and custom-built equipment are pushing ahead with the production of parts necessary for normal production and readjustment and reinforcement in the different sectors of the national economy while introducing advanced working methods and technical innovation proposals by dint of science and technology.

The large machine shop and the custom-built equipment assembling shop are solving technical problems arising in improving the performance of equipment and conducting a socialist emulation for improving quality.

While stepping up the modernization project, the complex is encouraging the working masses to a drive for greeting the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea with proud successes in the production of custom-built equipment. -0-
