Pyongyang, August 1 (KCNA) -- Kangwon Province in the DPRK is pushing ahead with the construction of rural dwellings.

The province launched a mass technological innovation movement to readjust and reinforce finishing building materials production bases and diversify products, thus achieving successes in developing new products and improving their quality and increasing their output 1.2 times as compared with the same period of last year.

In the construction of houses in Jonsung-ri, Phyonggang County and Kaechon-ri, Ichon County, the builders are fulfilling their daily plans by applying efficient methods and speeding up the internal work with finishing building materials produced by themselves.

Munchon City produces building materials with light burned magnesia and coating and waterproof materials with locally available materials, and Phangyo County reduces the construction cost with arsenic bricks.

Hoeyang County produced new shuttering by using plastic, thus speeding up construction more than 1.5 times. -0-
