Pyongyang, August 1 (KCNA) -- Trade union organizations at all levels in the DPRK are conducting the brisk activities of farm machine repair support teams.

Since the start of rice-transplanting, technicians and skilled workers of industrial establishments across the country have taken part in the activities to repair and maintain thousands of farm machines and provide tens of thousands of accessories of 50-odd kinds, contributing to the immediate farming process.

The South Hwanghae Provincial Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea mobilized its organizations and members to secure many farm machine parts and actively conduct activities of farm machine repair support teams in farms of the province so as to ensure the full operation of rice-transplanting machines and combined threshers.

Workers and trade union members of various industrial establishments in South Phyongan Province are making contributions to the immediate farming process while repairing and maintaining farm machines in a responsible manner at the Ryonpho Vegetable Farm in Sunchon City and the Namhung Farm of Anju City.

Those of North Hwanghae Province fully prepared spare parts and repair tools and went to more than 200 farms to improve the performance of tractors, thus encouraging the agricultural workers in the drive for increased grain production.

Trade union organizations in Ryanggang Province took measures to solve the knotty problems arising in the operation of farm machines and provided many parts needed for the repair and maintenance of pumps and motors.

Through the activities of farm machine repair support teams, trade union organizations of Pyongyang, Rason and Nampho municipalities, and North Hamgyong and Kangwon provinces are boosting the masses' enthusiasm for supporting the rural communities and devoting their wisdom and passion to raising the operation rate of farm machines. -0-
