Edible Calcium Carbonate Production Process Established in South Hwanghae Province

Pyongyang, November 30 (KCNA) -- South Hwanghae Province in the DPRK has established a new process for producing edible calcium carbonate and started the production, according to Minju Joson.

The production process of the edible calcium carbonate was established at the intellectual goods production station of Haeju Kim Jong Thae University of Education which was newly built on the seashore of Ryongdang area in Haeju City. It has inexhaustible raw material resources needed for production and favorable operating conditions. The quality of the edible calcium carbonate is high and its utility range is wide. Therefore, its prospect is good.

Researchers and teaching staff of the university completed the Korean-style optimized production technical process capable of mass-producing the quality edible calcium carbonate with pollution-free natural renewable resources, on the basis of the successes and experience of various scientific research and production units related to the production of calcium carbonate and the survey and analysis of distribution state of the resources in the province and their amount and quality. -0-
