Pyongyang, June 23 (KCNA) -- Officials and workers in the forestry sector of the DPRK are stepping up the production of prop timber.

The North Phyongan Provincial Forestry Management Bureau is over-fulfilling its plan for the production of prop timber. Tongchang and Taegwan forestry stations under the bureau take the lead in the production of prop timber.

The Kangwon Provincial Forestry Management Bureau is boosting the production of prop timber by raising the operation rate of vehicles.

The Yuson Forestry Station under the North Hamgyong Provincial Forestry Management Bureau, the Sinhung Mine Timber Production Station under the South Hamgyong Provincial Forestry Management Bureau and other forestry and mine timber production stations are conducting the work to meet the demand for prop timber in the field of coal industry even in the rainy season. -0-
