Pyongyang, September 26 (KCNA) -- The Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex in the DPRK is producing iron and steel by dint of its scientific and technological force.

The oxygen separator branch factory has updated the technical indices of oxygen separator, thus increasing the oxygen output by 1.2 times and raising its purity more than 3 percent.

The blast furnace workshops nos. 1 and 2 are increasing the thermal efficiency by introducing effective charging method while making technical innovations for raising the operating rate of furnaces.

The steel workshop no. 2 and the hot-rolling workshop are operating the heating furnaces at full capacity by further improving the equipment management and technical control and applying rational working methods to increase the rolling rate.

The supply sector is providing raw materials, fuel, fire-proof materials and accessories and parts of equipment necessary for the normal operation of blast furnaces. -0-
