Pyongyang, September 26 (KCNA) -- Farms in South Hwanghae Province of the DPRK are busy with harvesting rice and sowing winter wheat and barley seeds.

The counties of Chongdan, Yonan and Paechon and the city of Haeju are harvesting rice after overhauling farm machines in a responsible manner and securing spare parts and packing containers.

Agricultural workers in Sinchon, Anak and Jaeryong counties are bringing about good results in harvesting and threshing by rationally using farm machines.

Farms in the counties of Kangryong and Ongjin are sowing many fields with wheat and barley seeds every day by raising the utilization rate of manpower and farm machines. Unchon and Samchon counties are carrying out their daily plans by giving priority to ploughing and transporting self-sufficing manure.

Officials and employees of the provincial people's committee and the provincial prospecting management bureau, the Haeju Smeltery and many other units are giving material and moral assistance to farms.

Thanks to the patriotic enthusiasm of the officials and working people in the province, farms are harvesting rice and sowing wheat and barley seeds in thousands of hectares of fields every day. -0-
