Pyongyang, April 4 (KCNA) -- Spring tree planting is gaining momentum in Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK.
Phyongchon District planted more than 2 000 trees in 10-odd places including Chollima Street and the Promenade of the River Pothong and is reinforcing the landscapes in different parts of the district.
More than 10 000 trees of good species were planted in Songhwa Street and other parts of Sadong District.
Mangyongdae District set a goal to cover the areas around the railways in the district with thick woods and has encouraged the officials and working people to its implementation. And Taesong District has organized the experience-sharing meeting of the responsible forest rangers to make sure that trees were planted as required by science and technology.
Officials and working people in Pothonggang, Rangnang, Sosong and Taedonggang districts are devoting their sincerity to planting trees with patriotic minds to turn Pyongyang into a more beautiful city as befitting a center of socialist civilization. -0-
