Pyongyang, December 6 (KCNA) -- North Phyongan Province of the DPRK conducted an autumn public campaign for land improvement, thus adding beauty to the provincial landscape.
Thanks to the hard-working officials and citizens in the province, roads extending tens of kilometers were paved or technically improved, hundreds of thousands of square meters of river embankments reinforced and over 1.6 million cubic meters of river bed dredged along with the remodeling of many houses and public buildings.
Kujang County dredged thousands of cubic meters of river bed in a 200-odd meter-long section by mobilizing mechanical means, and Nyongbyon County carried out an embankment project for protecting the arable land.
Similar work was done in Unsan, Thaechon and other counties and Jongju City. -0-
