Pyongyang, February 28 (KCNA) -- Seeding spring wheat and barley began in rural areas of the DPRK.

Farms in Unchon, Sinchon and Jaeryong counties of South Hwanghae Province secured high-yielding seeds with short growing period and rationally allocated manpower and means to make good results in seeding.

Hanggu District and Onchon County of Nampho Municipality are busy with the work to apply quality manure to every farm field, taking into account the biological characteristics of wheat and barley and soil tilt.

Various farms in Kaesong Municipality are registering successes, observing the technical demands arising in seed processing, including drying in sun and sterilization, and seeding amount per phyong.

Officials and agricultural workers in North Hwanghae and South Hamgyong provinces and other parts of the country, too, worked out plans according to plots and fields and are stepping up the sowing as scheduled by raising the operation rate of farm machines. -0-
