Pyongyang, February 28 (KCNA) -- A meeting was held in the DPRK on Feb. 27 to review the 2024 socialist emulation among industrial establishments in major national economic sectors.

Present there were Vice-Premier Yang Sung Ho, Department Director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea Kim Jong Sun, officials concerned and officials and labor innovators of those units participating in the emulation.

Pak In Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea, made a report at the meeting.

The reporter noted that last year when an all-people patriotic struggle was launched to usher in a new era of overall national prosperity, the socialist emulation, a revolutionary mass movement, was conducted at industrial establishments in major national economic sectors to positively contribute to attaining the 12 major goals for national economic development.

All these successes are an outcome of the outstanding and seasoned leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who has energetically guided the work, clearly indicating the detailed tasks and ways for putting the country's economy on a radical growth track, he said.

He called upon all officials and working people to conduct a more brisk socialist emulation for increased production and thoroughly implement the decisions of the Eleventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK and thus glorify the year 2025 with fresher and more significant, proud achievements.

Then, the emulation standings were announced.

Citations in the joint name of the WPK Central Committee and the DPRK Cabinet and rotating silk banners were conferred on the Taean Heavy Machine Complex, the Hongwon Fishery Station and the Unjon Fishery Station, which took the first place in the socialist emulation among industrial establishments and fishery stations, and rotating silk banners and citations of the GFTUK Central Committee on the units, which proved successful in the inter-sector socialist emulation, and exemplary labor innovators, together with awards.

Introduced at the meeting were experience gained by the units which took the lead in the emulation last year. -0-
