Pyongyang, September 25 (KCNA) -- A national symposium in the field of printing industry took place at the Sci-Tech Complex on Sep. 23 and 24 under the sponsorship of the Korean Printing Technology Association of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.

Present there were officials, teachers, researchers and postgraduate students of the Publication Guidance Bureau, the Minju Joson and Pyongyang University of Publication and Printing.

The symposium heard valuable papers conducive to consolidating the material and technical foundations of the printing industry by realizing the domestic production of equipment, raw and other materials. And there was a question-and-answer session related to them.

The researches on the establishment of a lithographic plate production line, the manufacture of auxiliary materials for lithography and water-base ink were highly appreciated as they have high utility in realizing the modernization of printing process and solving the problems of raw and other materials.

During the period there was a lecture on the world trend of development in the sector of printing industry. -0-
