Pyongyang, June 6 (KCNA) -- Sports and amusement games of the participants in the celebrations of the 79th founding anniversary of the Korean Children's Union took place at the Pyongyang Indoor Stadium on June 5.

Among the spectators were Choe Tong Myong, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Jong Sun, department director of the Central Committee of the WPK, and officials of the youth league.

Mun Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, made a speech.

He stressed that all the participants should fully demonstrate the honor of their teams in the games while displaying the collectivist spirit of helping and leading each other and noble moral traits and further deepening friendship among their friends.

The participants watched the boy's volleyball finals of the 2025 National Schoolchildren's Games.

The Pyongyang Municipal Team won the match.

Then the sports and amusement games began.

Colorful sports and amusement games including ankle-tied running and tug of war were held amid the strong enthusiasm of the players and cheers.

The Korean schoolchildren in Japan running the stadium shoulder to shoulder with the students of the motherland were full of happy laughter.

The sports and amusement games ended with Taekwon-Do demonstration of schoolchildren in Pyongyang.

At the end of the games, standings were announced and citations and others were awarded to the teams that achieved excellent results. -0-
