Pyongyang, March 17 (KCNA) -- Following are major news items and articles in Rodong Sinmun, a leading newspaper of the DPRK, on Monday:

- An article calls for deeply studying the history of the founding and development of the Workers' Party of Korea.

- Successes have been made in different units.

- Senior middle school graduates in North Hamgyong Province volunteered to join the Korean People's Army.

- Graduates of Nampho University of Education and Nampho Teacher Training College petitioned to work at schools on islets.

- There took place an exhibition of utensils and tools and a ceremony of putting vehicles in service to propel the housing construction project in the Komdok area.

- A brisk socialist emulation is being conducted among the Kangdong Greenhouse Complex, the Jungphyong Greenhouse Farm and the Ryonpho Greenhouse Farm.
