Pyongyang, April 30 (KCNA) -- A meeting to convey a congratulatory message sent by the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea to the workers, technicians and officials of the Ponghwa Chemical Factory took place on the spot on Tuesday on the occasion of its 50th founding anniversary.

Present there were Kim Tok Hun, secretary of the WPK Central Committee, officials concerned and officials and employees of the factory.

Kim Tok Hun conveyed the congratulatory message of the WPK Central Committee to the workers, technicians and officials of the factory.

The WPK Central Committee in its congratulatory message stressed that the Ponghwa Chemical Factory is a glorious workplace associated with the fatherly affection of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il everywhere, from its site and name to the dwelling houses and cultural and welfare facilities of the employees, and a chemical industrial base of very important significance in economic construction.

The message said that the workers, technicians and officials of the factory, who are always faithful to their mission to defend the major sector of the chemical industry, over-fulfilled the national economic plan and successfully built modern processes despite manifold trials and difficulties in recent years, thus making a great contribution to the growth of the key industry.

The WPK Central Committee in its congratulatory message highly praised the workers, technicians and officials of the factory for accepting the Party's policy as the absolute truth and faithfully serving economic construction and the people's living with loyalty.
