Pyongyang, April 30 (KCNA) -- The 16th Commodity Exhibition at Pyongyang Department Store No. 1 opened with due ceremony in the DPRK on Tuesday.

On display there were more than 1 275 000 pieces of goods of more than 1 700 kinds including industrial goods and foodstuffs produced by more than 400 units such as ministries, national agencies and industrial establishments in provinces.

The Wonsan and Pothonggang footwear factories, the Phyongsong Unphasan Bag Branch Factory, the Sinuiju Cosmetics Factory, the Ryonggang Stone Processing Factory, etc. presented goods which were developed and produced suited to the tastes, characteristics and hobbies of the people.

The provincial general foodstuff factories including the Songdowon, Amnokgang, Jangjasan and Paekunsan general foodstuff factories and various regional-industry factories presented tasty and nutritious confectionery, different kinds of drinks, processed marine products, plastic daily necessities, etc. representing their units.
