Pyongyang, April 30 (KCNA) -- Schools of arts across the DPRK are pushing ahead with the work for training reserve talents on a long-term basis.

The Music School affiliated with Pyongyang Kim Won Gyun University of Music and Dance has made strict demands for the selection of students and made a rational arrangement of special study for freshmen on the basis of learning about their individuality, hobby and preparation.

It has raised the quality of education in special studies including vocal music and instrumental music in conformity with the character of training talents of arts and explored and introduced new educational methods to help students raise the level of depiction while personally carrying out diverse artistic representation tasks.

Hamhung School of Arts is organically combining creation of works, skill training and field etude to improve the students' abilities.

Teachers of the department of narrative skill are directing efforts to basic education and guidance to training including pronunciation and accent, thus enhancing the students' abilities of depiction according to different scripts.

The art-related departments organize field etude activities in various methods and help the students improve their practical level through the process of depicting the reality of the stirring era including regional-industry factories and fairyland villages newly built under the care of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Phyongsong School of Arts has raised the efficiency of teaching of dance subject including Korean national dance and worked hard to complete the integrated teaching and management system in contact with specialized units.

Sariwon, Chongjin and Sinuiju schools of arts are training talents of arts methodologically while holding symposiums on teaching methods and artistry presentations. -0-
