Pyongyang, August 2 (KCNA) -- The Soccer Tournament for Hwaebul (Torch) Cup began in the DPRK on Aug. 1.

Best men and women football teams of the country will play in the tournament, to be held at Kim Il Sung Stadium and Sosan Football Stadium until Aug. 28.

The Pyongyang Team beat the Wolmido Team 3:0 and the Kigwancha Team beat the Rimyongsu Team 4:1 in the men's first-day matches. -0-
