Pyongyang, October 17 (KCNA) -- DPRK players returned home after taking part in the 2024 Asian Table Tennis Championships held in Kazakhstan.

Kim Kum Yong bagged a trophy and a gold medal in the women's singles and Ri Jong Sik and Kim Kum Yong silver medals and Ham Yu Song and Pyon Song Gyong bronze medals in the mixed doubles.

They were greeted at Pyongyang International Airport on Oct. 16 by Kim Il Guk, minister of Physical Culture and Sports, officials concerned, officials in the sports sector, sportspersons and families.

Sportspersons congratulated the players and coaches on their results, putting garlands around their necks and presenting bouquets to them. -0-
