Kim Il Sung Honor Prizes Conferred

Pyongyang, April 15 (KCNA) -- Kim Il Sung Youth Honor Prize and Kim Il Sung Children Honor Prize were awarded to exemplary primary (sub-primary) youth league committees, youth league officials and members and Korean Children's Union (KCU) members on the occasion of the greatest national holiday of April.

An awarding ceremony took place at the Youth League Hall on Sunday.

Decrees of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly were read out.

Kim Il Sung Youth Honor Prize was conferred on 20 primary (sub-primary) youth league committees and 26 youth league officials and members that strengthened the youth league organizations and trained young people to be genuine vanguard ranks faithful to the ideas and leadership of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, through a dynamic struggle to defend and glorify the Party's idea on the youth movement and its leadership exploits, and fully displayed patriotic devotion in theaters of socialist construction.

Kim Il Sung Children Honor Prize was awarded to 108 KCU members who have distinguished themselves in the study, organizational life, socio-political activities and good-conduct movement.
