Pyongyang, July 1 (KCNA) -- Another success has been achieved in realizing the irrigation in rural areas amid the great campaign of creation for rural rejuvenation which is being conducted according to the grandiose plan of the programme for the rural revolution in the new era clarified by the Central Committee of the great Workers' Party of Korea.

Thanks to the devoted efforts of officials and working people in different parts of the country, this year's projects to irrigate over 160 000 hectares of paddy fields were completed, including the construction and repair of more than 1 300 pumping stations, the construction and general overhaul of over 1 100 irrigation structures and the repair of over 17 000 kilometers of waterways. And over 3 300 hectares of dry fields turned into paddy fields.

Many working people devoted their sincerity to irrigation construction through their shock brigade activities, motivation activities and unsparing support. -0-
