Pyongyang, June 19 (KCNA) -- Recorded in the glorious history of the DPRK is the Chollima age in which new miracles stunning the world people were created one after another in socialist construction.

During the great Chollima upswing, the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Silk Mill produced the first Chollima workteam and won the title of the Chollima factory in Pyongyang Municipality. It has taken a big part in improving the people's standard of living in every period of the revolution, fully displaying the honor of icon mill and model unit.

The course of development of the silk mill which has developed into a proud base for the silk thread production along with the Chollima age is associated with the meticulous care of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

One day in June 2016, Kim Jong Un visited the mill. He called upon the workers of the mill to further glorify the proud tradition and honor of the mill, saying that the fighting spirit of the great Chollima age should be carried forward forever.

Noting that the mill is a very important one in improving the people's standard of living, he expressed expectation and conviction that the mill would continue to set an example throughout the country in implementing the Party's policies like the preceding generation and had a photo taken with the employees of the mill.

True to his instructions, officials and workers of the mill turned out in the struggle for following the heroes of the Chollima age, and the mill produced many labor innovators.

The mill realized the streamlining of overall production processes ranging from preparation of raw materials to production of goods and newly built the production line of silk protein with waste water.

Today, the mill is playing a role as a pivotal one in the field of light industry while putting its management on a scientific basis and raising the quality of goods. -0-
