Symposium of Social Scientists Held in DPRK

Pyongyang, June 19 (KCNA) -- A symposium of social scientists took place on June 18 to mark the 30th anniversary of the publication of Chairman Kim Jong Il's immortal work "Giving Priority to Ideological Work is Essential for Accomplishing Socialism".

Present there were Thae Hyong Chol, president of the Academy of Social Sciences, and officials, teachers and researchers in the fields of science and education and Party cadre training institutions.

The symposium heard papers dealing with the historic significance and eternal vitality of Kim Jong Il's immortal work and the immortal revolutionary exploits of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who is leading the Korean revolution to victory by dint of ideology.

The papers were made public by Jo Kwang Chol, department head of University of National Economy, Kim Ung Gol, a teacher of the Central Cadres Training School of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Ho Song, a researcher of Kim Il Sung University, and Han Myong Hwan, a researcher of the Academy of Social Sciences.

The speakers proved that the Chairman's immortal work is an important document that clarifies the way for the steady development of socialist construction by dint of ideology.

They explained that the Juche-oriented theory of ideology that ideology is basic in the revolution and construction and that nothing is impossible when one holds fast to ideology is the eternal revolutionary leadership principle and political philosophy of the WPK.

They stressed that Kim Jong Un is a prominent statesman who is ushering in an era of great changes by giving full play to the mental strength of the popular masses.

They said that all the social scientists should make more valuable successes in the researches into social sciences and devote their wisdom and passion to the struggle for the prosperity of the country, bearing in mind their noble mission and duty as pioneers and pacemakers to uphold the cause of the Party in the van. -0-
