Pyongyang, March 13 (KCNA) -- Coal mines in the coal industry of the DPRK provide a guarantee for increased production through a high-speed tunneling contest.

Officials of the Tokchon Area Coal-mining Complex are encouraging the tunneling workteams to create a new standard and a new record. They have also generalized the experience gained by the well-known high-speed tunneling units, including the Cha Kwang Su Youth Shock Brigade at the Namyang Coal Mine.

The Sunchon Area Youth Coal-mining Complex has stepped up the tunneling for the expansion of production capacity at the February 8 Jikdong Youth Coal Mine and the Chonsong Youth Coal Mine.

Coal mines of various complexes, including Kujang, Kaechon, Tukjang, Chonnae and Kyongwon area coal-mining complexes, too, are increasing coal reserve through a socialist emulation among high-speed tunneling units. -0-
