National Sculpture and Craftwork Festival Opens in DPRK

Pyongyang, September 5 (KCNA) -- The Sixth National Sculpture and Craftwork Festival opened here to celebrate the 77th founding anniversary of the DPRK.

Presented to the festival were more than 280 pieces created by sculptors and craftsmen at the fine art studios, fans and students from across the country.

An opening ceremony took place at the Pyongyang International House of Culture on September 4.

Present there were Ri Yong Nam, vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned, participants in the festival and working people in the city.

An opening address was made by Minister of Culture Sung Jong Gyu. -0-
