Pyongyang, January 26 (KCNA) -- Different parts of the DPRK is rendering continued assistance to the steel front.

For the first fortnight of this year, all provinces, cities and counties have sent thousands of tons of scrap iron to metal industrial establishments in the country.

Pyongyang city sent more than 300 tons of scrap iron to the Chollima Steel Complex on January 4. And over 110 trucks loaded with a large amount of scrap iron from the city came to the complex again on January 13.

In North Hamgyong Province, more than 1 400 units took part in the intensive transport of lots of scrap iron several times.

Party members and other working people in North Hwanghae Province sent scrap iron, collected by them, to the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex together with tens of kinds of aid materials.

Such positive assistance was witnessed in North and South Phyongan, South Hwanghae and other provinces and cities. -0-
