Pyongyang, November 6 (KCNA) -- A national exhibition and presentation of forest sci-tech achievements were held at the Central Botanical Garden from October 29 to November 5 under the sponsorship of the Korean Forestry Association of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.

Present at the exhibition and presentation were officials, teachers and researchers of Kim Il Sung University, the State Academy of Sciences, the Forestry Institute under the Forest Guidance Bureau of the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection, the Forestry Equipment Factory, the Central Tree Nursery and other ministries, national agencies, scientific and educational institutions, production units and every provincial people's committee.

On display at the exhibition are forest machinery, utensils and tools, growth promoters and processed wild fruits produced by regional-industry factories.

The presentation heard the successes and experience gained in putting the afforestation and forest conservation on a scientific basis and examined and discussed the proposals dealing with the ways of doing so.

There were also a technical course, symposium and experience-sharing meeting on the cultivation and management of trees of good species being used in creating economic forests.

Certificates and prizes were awarded to the highly appreciated organizations and members. -0-
