Pyongyang, December 21 (KCNA) -- The Pyongyang Catfish Farm in the East Pyongyang area of the capital city of the DPRK has been known as a model and central base for catfish farming.

The farm has been turned into a modern large-scale fish farm under the guidance of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

One day in December 2014, he visited the farm and stressed the need for the Pyongyang Catfish Farm to kindle the flames for bringing about a revolutionary turn in fish farming and thus make a positive contribution to making the hot wind of fish farming prevail across the country.

He indicated the task to turn the farm into a model and standard one of the country's fish farming sector, gave precious instructions for it and solved all problems arising in its modernization.

The farm has turned into a modern one in which the fish farming has been put on a high scientific, intensive and industrial basis in less than one year.

The farm has put the water recirculation system on a more scientific basis to improve the quality of water and raised the intensive level on a higher one.

It established a new system for analyzing and controlling water quality and put catfish farming on an industrial basis of higher level.

The Pyongyang Catfish Farm is substantially contributing to improving the people's living standards. -0-
