Progress Made in Textbook Production for New School Year

Pyongyang, January 8 (KCNA) -- Workers of the Educational Books Printing Plant in the DPRK are making innovations in the production of textbooks for new school year.

Those of the printing and bookbinding shops introduced valuable technical findings to raise the operation rate of equipment by 1.3 times and reduce the consumption of electricity, thus making a breakthrough in increasing production.

Workers and technicians of the semi-finished products workshop have saved a lot of labor and time for overhauling and maintenance of equipment by remodeling parts of major equipment.

Workers of the drafting paper shop effectively used scrap of papers and produced and installed an automatic thermostat to reduce the cost of paper production and improve quality. -0-
