Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Sends Birthday Spread to War Veteran

Pyongyang, January 22 (KCNA) -- The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un sent a birthday spread to Ri Ok Suk, a war veteran living in Neighborhood Unit No. 14, Kwang-ri, Phihyon County, North Phyongan Province, on his 100th birthday.

Ri extended thanks to Kim Jong Un, expressing his emotion at the repeated benevolence shown by the Workers' Party of Korea for the war veterans.

Officials of the Phihyon County Committee of the WPK and villagers congratulated his family members on their auspicious event.

The centenarian had lived in the sorrow of a stateless nation during the colonial rule of the Japanese imperialists. After the liberation of Korea he could lead a genuine life as human being.

He joined the revolutionary army to bravely fight against the aggressors during the past Fatherland Liberation War and devoted his all to the increased grain production during the postwar reconstruction and socialist construction.

He is still fulfilling his responsibility and duty as an educator redoubling passion among the ranks of loyalty and patriotism, full of energy despite his advanced age. -0-
