Pyongyang, December 28 (KCNA) -- Officials and workers in the salt industry of the DPRK make progress in putting the salt production on an intensive, mechanized and modern basis.

Kwangryangman, Kumsong, Nampho and other salt works have further raised salinity at reserve evaporating ponds and evaporating ponds, developed and introduced machines to suit the actual conditions and established an efficient water circulation system to guarantee the increased production.

The salt-making machine repair plant installed a dust collector, further perfected the streamlined process in a technical way and produced high-performance water pumps.

The Onchon Tile Factory newly manufactured more than 150 molding and other machines. It is now pushing ahead with the work to install more drying furnaces using waste heat and secure raw materials and reserve molding materials. -0-
