Pyongyang, December 14 (KCNA) -- The electric power industrial sector of the DPRK has made successes in the drive to put production on a normal footing and strengthen the foundation for long-term development.

Thanks to the devoted efforts of the workers in the fields of thermal and hydroelectric power generation and transmission, this year's plan for readjusting and reinforcing generating equipment and transformer system was carried out mainly and the output of electricity increased as compared with last year.
