Pyongyang, September 12 (KCNA) -- Nampho Municipality of the DPRK has made successes in implementing the policy of the Workers' Party of Korea on pushing ahead with the work to put the supply and management of electricity on a scientific and IT basis.

The municipal power transmission and distribution station has spruced up the substations and taken prior measures to prevent accidents in the transmission and distribution lines, thus ensuring the stability of power supply.

It has introduced efficient accident distance estimator and accident analysis system into transmission line protection devices and other valuable innovations, thus reducing the loss of electricity in transmission and creating power reserves.

It has installed dozens of lightening conductors for power failure dispersion at substations to minimize damage caused by natural disasters.

Officials and workers in the electric-power sector of districts and counties have introduced the action counters for lightening arresters to improve the scientific accuracy of operating zinc oxide lightening arresters, and the engineering sector remodeled the existing internal pressure test devices. -0-
