Expedition of Youth Climbs Mt Paektu

Pyongyang, December 6 (KCNA) -- The expedition group of youth and students from across the DPRK climbed Mt Paektu, the sacred mountain of revolution, on Dec. 5.

Members of the expedition group went round trees bearing slogans at the Mudubong Secret Camp to grasp the indomitable revolutionary spirit, the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance of the anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners.

They marched towards Mt Paektu, singing songs like "We Will Go to Mt Paektu".

Looking at "Mt Paektu, Sacred Mountain of Revolution, Kim Jong Il", an autographic writing of Chairman Kim Jong Il inscribed on Hyangdo Peak, they recollected the undying feats of the peerlessly great man who laid an eternal foundation for the prosperity of the country and happiness of posterity and trained the young people to be reliable successors to the revolutionary cause of Juche.

The peaks of Mt Paektu resounded with cheers and shouts of the excited young vanguard standing on the top of Mt Paektu where the Korean revolution started and which is associated with the sacred history of the anti-Japanese war.

At the top of the mountain, the expedition group members vowed to prepare themselves as persons strong in ideology and faith who are fully armed with the indomitable revolutionary spirit of Paektu. -0-
