Pyongyang, April 6 (KCNA) -- In order to victoriously conclude the last year of the implementation of the five-year plan and confidently bring about an upward trend towards a higher development stage, it is necessary to steadily intensify the ideological offensive for boosting the elated spirit of the masses out in a drive for increased production, Rodong Sinmun on Sunday says in an editorial.

The motivation of the ideological and mental strength of the masses is the great might of the collective, the uplifted enthusiasm of the masses for increased production and innovative successes in implementing the decisions of the Workers' Party of Korea, the editorial says, and goes on:

The proud successes of increased production made in the overall socialist construction this year are not an outcome of favorable conditions and plentiful reserve but the result of the effective ideological work and familiar political work giving full play to the noble loyalty and patriotic enthusiasm of our people who regard it as their duty to uphold the Party's plan and determination with their death-defying practices.

The key to boosting production and economizing as much as possible by mobilizing possibilities and potential to the maximum and to making a more dynamic advance toward greater victory lies in the ideological and political work.

All sectors and units should positively arouse the revolutionary spirit and creative enthusiasm of the masses through a powerful ideological campaign so as to further display the spirit of uninterrupted innovations and progress and fully demonstrate the fighting spirit of the people overcoming difficulties.

It is the traditional work method of the WPK to steadily advance the revolution and construction by arousing the mental power of the masses through the ideological and political work.
