Pyongyang, February 28 (KCNA) -- Institutes of the Academy of Medical Science in the DPRK have made achievements in the research into medical treatment and medicines conducive to the promotion of people's health.

The Tumor Institute developed a new treatment method combining surgery for cancer disease with cancer vaccine therapy and this method won the February 16 Science and Technology Prize last year.

The Biomedicine Institute developed an intravenous injection by combining physiological activators with Koryo medicines efficacious for liver disorders.

Researchers are pooling their wisdom and enthusiasm to introduce the newly developed medicine for treating liver disorders into curative and preventive organs. -0-
