Pyongyang, January 26 (KCNA) -- The Chongjin Steel Plant in the DPRK brings about a surge in production.

Its technical group has devoted its creative wisdom and zeal to solving the technical problems arising in the readjustment and reinforcement of production lines and the improvement of equipment performance.

Last year, the group built a new process for producing firebricks and found new methods for extending the life of rotary kiln and raising its operation rate.

It is now striving to raise the drying rate with auxiliary heating device installed at the vertical furnace for oxidizing roasting pellet and modify the charge distributor.

The officials, workers and technicians of plant are stepping up its development by dint of science and technology. -0-
