Pyongyang, January 22 (KCNA) -- The project for improving the fertility of soil progresses apace in rural areas of North Hwanghae Province of the DPRK.

Songrim City and Hwangju and Koksan counties set the production and transport of self-sufficing manure as the center of the first farming work for the new year and launched a socialist emulation among farms, workteams and individuals.

Agricultural workers in Junghwa and Sangwon counties have turned out in the manure production to provide a guarantee for increased grain production.

The Migok Farm in Sariwon City and the Township Farm of the Thosan County are manuring farm fields by tapping organic fertilizer resources and using various means of transportation.

Farmers in Kumchon, Suan and Sinphyong counties are securing a large amount of organic fertilizer every day through a brisk mass movement.

Those in Unpha, Pongsan and Sohung counties, too, are working hard to turn all the paddy and non-paddy fields into fertile ones. -0-
