Pyongyang, October 6 (KCNA) -- North Hamgyong Province in the DPRK directs big efforts to strengthening the foundation of producing dairy products.

In close cooperation with relevant units, the province has newly built and expanded goat farms in Orang and Yonsa counties and provided them with high-performance equipment for milk powder production and fodder processing equipment.

And it secured thousands of goats and over one hundred dairy cows to put the milk production on a normal basis.

Goat farms in Chongjin City and other regions are directing efforts to increasing the number of goats of good breed and increasing the milk output.

The working people in Kilju, Hwadae and Kyonghung counties have introduced methods suited to the actual conditions and raised the weight ratio on the basis of scientific breeding of domestic animals, while preparing winter fodder in a far-sighted way.

The province sees to it that the cities and counties ensure the normal operation of vehicles and freezing and storing facilities and thus supply fresh and nutritious dairy products to the children in good time. -0-
