Pyongyang, September 11 (KCNA) -- The light industrial sector of the DPRK is hastening the third-stage production of uniforms, footwear and bags for schoolchildren.

The Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill and other textile mills in charge of the production of uniform and bag cloth and the Phyongsong Artificial Leather Factory and the Phyongsong Elastic Factory are striving to produce raw and other materials qualitatively.

The Songyo Knitwear Factory, the Hamhung Knitwear Factory and other knitwear factories are producing quality sweaters for pupils by introducing valuable technical innovation proposals.

The school uniform factories have displayed samples at production sites, urged the producers preserve the general principles and processing and technical requirements in cutting, sewing and finishing processes and enhanced the role of highly skilled workers to improve quality and increase productivity.

Provincial bag factories are making "Sonamu (pine)"-branded school bags convenient and neat.

Provincial schoolchildren's footwear factories and other industrial establishments are producing shoes for junior and senior middle school students. -0-
